The site has concept approval from the NSW Government for an intermodal freight terminal with an anticipated throughput of 530,000 Twenty Foot Equivalent Units.

The development of the Australian Inland Railway will entrench Parkes as the most important hub in Australia’s freight network. Asciano is eager to develop the site as a national intermodal facility and we urge you to get on board."
