Parkes is a vibrant town in the Central West of NSW on the precipice of a wonderful growth phase. The region boasts a robust economy built on the back of strong mining, agriculture and industrial sectors. A range of Government services such as the RTA Western Regional, Centrelink and the Department of Community Service underpins Parkes public sector depth, with tourism and retail also strong economic contributors.

Parkes Council is very proactive and welcomes opportunities to work with industry. This is reflected by the rezoning of over 500 hectares of land for the Parkes National Logistics Hub and the development of Council owned land for industrial development.

Parkes is a great place to live with a diverse population and great community spirit. The town has a large range of cultural and sporting facilities and hosts many state and regional events. Parkes is a wonderful place to raise a family with a multitude of leading schools, major health services and child care facilities.

Parkes is on the verge of significant growth with the Parkes National Logistics Hub forming a key component of this strategy. Council welcomes all companies looking to establish or expand in Parkes and is ready to help facilitate this growth."
